Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of the Fornax AI platform and related services. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Fornax AI platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Description of Service
Fornax AI provides a private AI inference gateway, API key management, a developer playground, and documentation. The service routes inference requests to self-hosted AI models within your network.
3. API Keys & Authentication
You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys. Do not share, publish, or embed API keys in client-side code. Fornax AI is not liable for unauthorised usage resulting from compromised credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the service for illegal activities, (b) attempt to reverse-engineer the inference gateway, (c) exceed your plan's rate limits through automated means, (d) transmit malicious content through prompts, or (e) resell access to the API without written authorisation.
5. Availability & SLA
We target 99.9% uptime for all paid plans. Scheduled maintenance windows are communicated at least 48 hours in advance. Downtime caused by force majeure, third-party infrastructure failures, or your own network issues is excluded from SLA calculations. See our SLA page for full details.
6. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you transmit through the platform, including prompts and model outputs. Fornax AI does not use your data for training, analytics, or any purpose beyond providing the service. Inference data is not logged unless you explicitly enable business logging.
7. Payment & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in Tanzanian Shillings (TSH). Invoices are issued at the start of each billing cycle. Failure to pay within 14 days may result in temporary suspension of API access. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fornax AI's liability for any claims arising from these terms or the service is limited to the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, your API keys are revoked and account data is deleted within 30 days. Fornax AI may immediately terminate access for material breach of these terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Dar es Salaam.
